Sales Coaching for Managers: A 30-Minute Weekly System

7 min readThe ClosersForge Team🧠 Mindset & Performance Save as PDF

Pipeline review ≠ coaching

Pipeline review is a status update. Coaching is skill development. Most managers do the first and call it the second.

The 30-minute weekly coaching block

  • 5 min — wins and losses since last week
  • 10 min — listen to one call recording together
  • 10 min — roleplay the moment that mattered
  • 5 min — agree on one skill to drill this week

That's it. Repeat weekly.

What to look for in a call review

  • Did they earn the right to ask the next question?
  • Did they confirm impact, not just pain?
  • Did they pre-handle the obvious objection?
  • Did they ask for a specific next step?

How AI speeds this up

Use Team Mode to see which reps are weakest at which skills, then assign targeted sparring drills they can run between your weekly coaching sessions.

FAQ

What's the fastest way to apply this in real calls?

Pick one script from this post, run it 10 times in AI roleplay before your next live call, and only then test it on a real prospect. Reps before reality — that's how top closers internalize new moves without losing deals.

How do I know if I'm actually getting better at this?

Track three numbers weekly: sets, closes, and the specific objection that killed deals. If your kill-objection shifts or shrinks, you're improving. The ClosersForge dashboard does this automatically based on your AI sparring sessions.

What if I'm new and the scripts feel awkward?

They will. Awkward is the price of new patterns. Roleplay them out loud 50 times in the gym until they sound like you, not like a script. Then they stop sounding like scripts and start sounding like you with conviction.

Drill the objections from this article

Each one opens an AI sparring drill pre-loaded with the rebuttal — plus the full weak / strong / elite breakdown.

🚪Not interested

"I'm not interested."

Usually said before they understand what you actually do. It's a reflex, not a decision.

💰Too expensive

"Your competitor is way cheaper."

They're shopping price because no one has shown them what they're actually buying.

💍Talk to spouse

"My partner handles all the money decisions."

If they truly can't decide alone, you should've had both on the call. Now you fix it.
